Masters Blockseminar / 3LP

Summer 20

Classic earth building techniques such as earthern bricks, cobb and rammed earth are some of the oldest methods of construction known to humanity and remain of high relevance even for todays highly mechanised building industry. Especially in the context of climate change and resource scarcity, earth building requires a higher prominance in the learning and practice of architecture. The block seminar will cover the theoretical and practical basis for using earth building techniques.

Please be aware that due to the current situation the workshop is closed and we are not able to give a solid commitment to holding the practical elements of the seminar as planned. The timeframe may move into the summer holidays and we could be forced to cancel entirely or move to a theory only model! Apply at your own risk...

If you would like to take part please send a formless email expressing your interest to ONLY info@nbl.berlin. Places will be allocated #randomly and are only available for TU students. We will inform your about the allocation of places at the start of May.
